Dr. Carter specializes in human osteology and has taught clinical anatomy for over 30 years. She studied anthropology with Bill Bass, PhD, D-ABFA and Jane Buikstra, PhD, D-ABFA, and consults for the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences. Her research is on age changes in the adult cranium and death education.
