Dr. Hurst is Oregon's Chief Medical Examiner. He completed his forensic pathology fellowship at the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner Department. His professional interests include medical examiner policy and service delivery models. He also fosters many dogs and cats for several rescue organizations in Portland.
