Andrea Edwards, graduated from Bellevue University in 2016 with her master’s in public administration, she also received a Certification from Florida State University in Human Trafficking Prevention & Intervention in 2021. She has been a Program Director with Heartland Family Service for 5 years overseeing Heartland Housing Sanctuary that includes a 14-bed shelter, advocacy, and housing program for adult survivors of human trafficking. She has over 13 years of experience in human service programs, primarily focusing on housing, behavioral health, human trafficking services. Mrs. Edwards has assisted with starting and developing 3 different programs, including a 16-unit transitional housing program for low-income families with a member having a disability, a 160-unit scattered-site rapid-rehousing program that serves youth, families, and chronically homeless.
