Kate Cherney, J.D. is the Legal Director at the Women’s Center for Advancement (WCA). Prior to joining the WCA in 2023, Kate directed the Poverty Law Program and served as a staff attorney at the Milton R. Abrahams Legal Clinic at Creighton University School of Law. Kate started her career as a postgraduate fellow and then staff attorney at Legal Aid of Nebraska. Kate is an alumna of the University of Michigan Law School (J.D. ’14) and Creighton University (B.A. ’08, English and Women’s & Gender Studies).
